FoxiMax

FoxiMax is a word puzzle based on the basic idea of Hangman, but every incorrect letter makes the challenge larger. A round begins with one hidden five-letter word. The player guesses individual letters instead of entering complete words. Correct letters are revealed in every matching position, while a wrong letter adds another hidden word to the board. There is no story, character progression, combat, or traditional level system. The goal is to reveal all active words before making eight mistakes.

Revealing the Words

Each turn, the player selects one letter from the available keyboard. If that letter appears in any word currently on the board, all matching positions are revealed at once. Correct letters are shown with a green background. If the chosen letter does not appear in the active words, it is marked as a miss and another five-letter word is added. Previous incorrect letters are already shown in the new word, so the player can immediately see which positions they do not occupy.

Rules and Main Features

The main gameplay includes:

·         starting with one hidden five-letter word;

·         choosing one letter per turn;

·         revealing every occurrence of a correct letter across all active words;

·         adding another word after each incorrect guess;

·         losing after eight incorrect letters;

·         trying to finish with as few active words as possible;

·         playing random Training puzzles outside the Daily game.

The difficulty changes during the same round because every mistake increases the amount of information the player must manage. A letter that appears useless for one word may become important once several words are active. Normally, the words in a game begin with different first letters, which gives another clue when multiple rows are present. The best result is achieved by solving the original word without adding unnecessary extra words.

Daily and Training Games

The Daily mode gives one fixed puzzle and records the result for streaks and statistics. Training mode creates random sets of words and can be played repeatedly. Shared Training games can also be sent to other players so they can attempt the same puzzle.

To play FoxiMax, the player studies the visible letter patterns, chooses likely letters, and continues until every hidden word is completely revealed. The main challenge is balancing useful guesses against the risk of creating additional words, since every miss makes the board larger and brings the player closer to the eight-mistake limit.
