Scrandle

Scrandle is a food comparison game based on real football stadium meals, often referred to as scran. Each round shows two different food items with photos and information such as the venue, year, or price. The player does not choose which meal they personally prefer. Instead, the objective is to predict which option received the higher rating from the community. There is no story, character progression, or campaign. The game is built entirely around repeated food comparisons and score tracking.

Comparing Two Scrans

A round begins with two stadium foods displayed side by side. The player studies both options and selects the one they think was rated more highly. After the choice is locked in, the existing community percentages are revealed. The food with the higher rating is marked as the superior scran, and the game records whether the prediction was correct. The ratings already exist before the comparison, so the player is predicting previous community opinion rather than voting directly between the two dishes.

Daily Game and Modes

Scrandle includes several ways to use the same comparison mechanic. Gameplay can involve:

·         comparing two stadium foods in each round;

·         choosing the item with the higher community rating;

·         completing ten scored comparisons in the Daily game;

·         checking the revealed percentage after every choice;

·         using Practice for additional comparisons;

·         enabling Evil Mode for harder matchups;

·         using Safe Mode while practicing;

·         playing Mensa Mode for more difficult scrans.

The Daily game begins with a bonus comparison and then continues through ten scored pairs. At the end, Scrandle shows the player’s result out of ten and the community average for the same Daily challenge. Practice modes allow more comparisons without following the standard Daily structure. Some settings change which food items can appear or make the differences between their ratings harder to judge.

How to Play

There are no traditional levels, enemies, inventories, or puzzles involving movement. Progress comes from completing comparison rounds and learning how community ratings differ between types of stadium food. Price, portion size, presentation, and the venue shown with each item can all be considered before making a choice, but only the existing rating determines the correct answer.

To play Scrandle, the player examines both food cards, selects one, and waits for the percentages to appear. The game then moves to the next pair. After all Daily comparisons are finished, the final score summarizes how many predictions were correct. Other modes repeat the same central mechanic with different difficulty or practice rules.
