After every incorrect guess, the selected country appears on the globe in a color that indicates how close it is to the Mystery Country. Hotter colors mean the guess is geographically closer, while colder colors indicate a greater distance. The player then uses this information to decide which country to try next. The game measures distance using the shortest distance between the land borders of the guessed country and the answer.
Globle keeps the same basic rules throughout each puzzle:
· enter the name of any valid country;
· inspect its color after the guess;
· use warmer colors to narrow down the search area;
· continue guessing until the Mystery Country is found;
· use as few guesses as possible;
· rotate and zoom the 3D globe to inspect different regions;
· start additional puzzles in Practice mode.
Water borders and overseas territories are not used when calculating distance. Some alternative country names and abbreviations are accepted, including certain older names and acronyms such as UAE.
The main strategy is to begin with countries in different parts of the world and compare their colors. If one guess appears much hotter than another, the Mystery Country is likely located closer to that region. The next guesses can then focus on neighboring countries until the color becomes increasingly warm. Because there is no limit mentioned on normal guesses, the challenge is primarily about efficiency rather than avoiding a game over.
The Daily Mystery Country changes at midnight in the player’s local time, and all guesses reset with the new puzzle. Practice mode uses the same country-guessing mechanic but allows additional games outside the daily challenge. It also includes an option to reveal the answer if the player decides to stop guessing.
There are no traditional levels, enemies, upgrades, or inventory systems. To play Globle, the player types a country name, studies the resulting color on the globe, compares it with earlier guesses, and continues moving geographically closer until the correct country is entered.
